Visa Applications

This Consulate issues Ghana Entry Visas and normally accepts applications from Hong Kong residents with valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards only. Other applicants will be considered on a case by case basis.

Visas may be issued for either Business, Tourism, Transit, or Employment purposes. Multiple entry visas are valid for three months.

To apply for an entry visa, the applicant should submit the following documents:

Four (4) copies of the application form
Four (4) identical passport size photographs affixed (NOT stapled) to the application forms
Original Travel Document
Photocopies of applicant's Travel Document's data pages and data side of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card
Evidence of onward travel arrangements, e.g., onward air ticket.
For business purposes:
- evidence of business connection(s) with Ghana, e.g., correspondence with, and/or invitation letter(s) from company(ies) in Ghana;
- evidence of financial sufficiency such as company guarantee letter with Bank Endorsement;
For tourism/social visit purposes:
- evidence of financial sufficiency, e.g., bank statements;
- leave letters, if applicable;

You should print out on A4-sized paper and complete 4 identical copies of this document. Each copy must be individually signed.

If your application is accepted for processing, it will normally take four (4) working days for the visa to be issued.

Visitors to Ghana should be in possession of a valid International Certificate of Vaccination against YELLOW FEVER.
